Please help me remove this Adguard virus. Every time I search the internet and I clicked on any results, the browser is redirected to Adguard web site. It prompts me to install the program and there is no way to close the pop-up window.
I already scan the computer with my anti-virus software but it didn’t find any virus or malware on my computer. Please help me remove Adguard or any type of virus that is causing the redirect. I suspect that there is some type of browser hijacker that keeps all search result links to get diverted to malicious web site.August 20, 2016 at 2:47 am #622JhulleeGuest
I need to remove Adguard from Mac OS X running under Yosemite. This virus is so stubborn. I don’t remember installing this program. It just pop-ups from my Mac system. When I am trying to drag the application to Trash, a message pop-up saying, “Adguard cannot be move to Trash because it is open”. Actually I closed the program before moving it to Trash, but I keep on getting the same message. Please help me remove this virus.August 20, 2016 at 2:54 am #626Marcy88Guest
Jhullee, you must “Force Quit” Adguard before you can drag the item to Trash. Please try these steps:
1. Go to Launch Pad > Utilities Folder. Open Activity Monitor.
2. Select Adguard from the list of processes currently running on your Mac computer.
3. Click on Force Quit button.
4. You may now drag Adguard to Trash and delete any associated files.
